Hayfever in Japan

This is the killer of all killers. The Japanese cedar. It is said that 20% of all Japanese suffer from hayfever from cedar pollen. Ok, it may not kill but it sure can make life miserable. Last year was the worse. Record high of something like 100 times of previous years. This year it is not supposed to be that bad but my eyes are starting to get itchy. Many cedar trees were planted in the suburbs and surrounding areas of the big cities after world war II. Little did people know that the pollen from these trees would cause so much trouble after nearly 60 years. Global heating doesn't help and also concrete pavements help the pollen travel without settling into the ground. Late February is when all breaks loose. I hate this time of the year...
